Coalition Programs and Services

The Coalition provides services that help other organizations and individuals serve the homeless.
Primarily the Coalition –

    • Leads Members in identifying and assessing the needs of persons who are homeless and planning housing and service programs aimed at ending their homelessness as quickly as possible, or providing long-term assistance to homeless individuals with chronic disabilities.

    • Serves as the official lead entity for a process for submitting each year a consolidated application to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for funding of homeless housing and service programs.

    • Operates the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS), a system for tracking information about homeless participants in various programs and shelters.

    • Assists the City of El Paso in developing and implementing Border Solutions…

    • Serves as a central resource to the community about who is homeless in El Paso and what resources are available to help prevent or end homelessness.
